FOOTING DRAWING & FOOTING DIMENSIONS DETAILS

QS STEPS FOR FRAMED STRUCTURES:

LET ME CONSIDER FOOTING 1

  1. Calculate the number of footings in footing1 first.
  2. Take the footing size Length and Breadth from the footing plan if the size is not given in plan drawing take it from the table.
  3. The size of footing 1 is 3’9” in length and 3’9” in breadth (‘- feet, “- inches).
  4. Always add 1’ to 1’3” in both length and breadth for earthwork excavation the additional 1’to1’3” feet is for formwork and working space for workers in the foundation pits.
  5. Take the depth of excavation from the cross-section diagram.
  6. Calculation:

NOTE: Always convert the inches in to feet because while calculating in excel we cannot use symbols

= Number of footing* length* breadth* depth

= 3*5*5*8.25
