Cement:

The cement is a mixing substance which are used to bind the material together. It is fine soft and powdery type of substance. Cement is used for all type of construction. No construction can be done without the help of cement. It is one of the most important product in construction as a binding material.

Cement Manufacturing process:

The cement is prepared by the various chemical combinations of calcium, silicon, aluminium, iron and other ingredients. The other main ingredients are limestone, shells, shale, clay, slate, blast furnace, slag, silica sand and iron ore etc.

Mining:

The process of mining involves blasting of limestone from the rock quarry by boring and setting up explosives with a negligible impact. While blasting we have to maintain a distance of 100 meters from the blasting spot .Then the blasted raw material are transported using the dump truck to the company for further process.

Crushing:

The blasted rock materials are delivered to the chutes conveyor to the crush where it is reduced to small chunks by crushing or pounding. Now the rocks comes to approximate of 11 to 12 inches in size. Then it goes for the secondary crushing and now it comes to 4 to 5 inches in size.

Prehomogenization:

It is the process of mixing raw material such as limestone and clay and the other required material in a proper proportion is known as the Prehomogenization

Raw material storage:

Each of the raw material is separated and kept in silos where it will be later added in specific amount according to the particular type of cement is produced. Then the raw material milling takes place. In this type of raw material milling takes place in vertical steel mill which grinds the material through the pressure extracted by the conical rollers which rolls over. Horizontal mills inside which the material is pulverized by means of steel balls are used in this phase

Calcination:

The process of the calcination is held in a huge rotary kilns comes into play. In this rotary kilns the raw materials are heated at 14000 degree Celsius. The raw materials is transformed into clinkers small dark gray 1 to 2 inches in diameter. The clinker is grained by different size of steel balls while it works its way through the mills two chambers with the important raw material gypsum is added for extending the cement time.
